Traveling San Diego

Traveling San Diego

Traveling to San Diego was a nice little getaway — and a nice change of scenery from the concrete jungle.  What I loved the most about San Diego was driving down along Sunset Cliffs Park .

San Diego

We stayed in downtown San Diego – also known as the Gaslamp Quarter.  It’s an area that has been and continues to be gentrified.  Very safe, quiet and a short run to the beach!

Best Attractions in San Diego

Below are a list of some of the best attractions in San Diego that I was able to check out:

1.Balboa Park

Definitely one of my favorite places to see was Balboa park – probably one of the best attractions in San Diego.  The park houses many different museums, is close to the San Deigo Zoo, as well has many historical and cultural value…and also great for pics!

2. Seaport Villa

Next on the list would be the Seaport Villa.  Seaport Villa is located close to downtown San Diego.  It’s great for waterfront shopping and dining — very romantic place!  Would recommend checking it out in the morning and grabbing dinner alongside one of the waterfront restaurants!

La Jolla Cove

3. La Jolla Cove

Next on the list of best attractions in San Diego is La Jolla!  Where do I begin…. from the looming palms, to the sound of the waves crashing, and being able to witness sea walruses less than 100 feet away…La Jolla definitely is worth checking out.  Another great place for photos and scenic photos. If you don’t have a car planned for your trip — you will definitely need one!!

Shopping in San Diego

If you’re looking to shop in San Diego, check out some of the best shopping in San Diego spots.  On the list are Fashion Valley Mall, Solo, Westfield Horton Plaza and La Jolla.  What I loved the most about San Diego was that their sense of style was relaxed, but very put together.  All in all if you’re considering traveling to San Diego…I say go for it!  Pack day clothes as well as a lightweight jacket or sweater as it gets a bit chilly at night.
